To celebrate the festive season we offered a FREE download of the track “What’s Your Story?” featured on our album “Bridges” which we released earlier this year.
This track was written with a close friend of the band in mind, and more importantly, the organisation he works for, “Framework”. Framework is a charity and specialist housing association dedicated to helping homeless people, preventing homelessness, and promoting opportunities for vulnerable and excluded people to change the direction of their lives across the East Midlands.
Whilst the download is no longer available for free, it can be purchased from iTunes or many other services offering digital downloads. We do still however urge you to donate to framework, spare some time to volunteer with them or spread the word about their work.
We are delighted to announce that we have been invited to play Faction at Rough Trade on Sunday 18th October. The event is an exciting collaborative effort from Rough Trade, Y Not Festival and BBC Introducing. Held the third Sunday of every month at Rough Trade Nottingham, Faction showcases the best new music carefully selected from across the UK.
Running from 3pm-10pm the event is free entry, there will be a bar serving good quality craft beers and DJ’s.
Needless to say we’re very excited and it would make a great day even better if we were joined by some of you guys!
Well our album launch of ‘Bridges’ on the 3rd July was a huge success, we had an amazing turnout! The beautiful Lisa De’Ville opened the evening for us with her mesmerising sounds, what a voice that lady has! We played our set afterwards – after fluffing up the first track whoops Karen!! (very nervous!!!) the set went brilliantly !!! enjoyed every minute of it and the crowd were so great to play to. Then it was time for the fantastic The Most Ugly Child to get their botties on stage !!! they were blooming awesome, we all had a great dance to their uplifting country sounds! so entertaining! Thank you to Lisa for supporting and The Uglys for headlining! Huge thanks for all the hard work on sound to Phil Taylor, you were so helpful dude! To top it off NG Digital live streamed the whole event for us and gave a few little interviews too, you can listen again on their website catch up section http://www.ng-digital.co.uk. On the run up to this album launch we have been buzzing as BBC introducing selected our single ‘Nothing Missing’ from the album for airplay, we were played on Dean Jacksons Saturday night show ‘The Beat’ and then the Mark Forrest show too (Nationally!!!) Then on launch day Dean Jackson invited us in for an interview the following day!!!!! WOW talk about all at once, we were thrilled and it was a pleasure to meet him. I think we all handled ourselves rather well with the hangover from the launch night too!!! Here are a handful of pictures taken by Ralph Barklam on the night. Thanks Ralph! Lots of Love to all!!!!! xxxxxxx
